Job Summary:

A Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing various tasks to support warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role typically requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

•     Unload incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or packing slips.

•     Inspect products for damage or defects and report any discrepancies.

•     Store products in the designated areas within the warehouse.

•     Assist in tracking inventory levels and maintaining accurate stock records.

•     Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.

•     Organize and maintain products in a way that ensures easy access and retrieval.

•     Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move items around the warehouse.

•     Safely lift, carry, and stack products according to safety guidelines

•     Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping floors, disposing of waste, and maintaining an orderly work environment.

•     Maintain shelves, bins, and storage areas in a neat and accessible manner.

•     Work closely with warehouse supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth operations.

•     Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

•     Ability to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory management.

•     Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.

•     Ability to count and track inventory, as well as organize products efficiently.

•     Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols, including the safe use of equipment.

•     Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus.

•     Ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

 

Education and Experience:

•     High school diploma or equivalent.

•     Prior experience in a warehouse.

•     Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel.

 

Physical Requirements:

•     Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) and stand or move for long periods

•     Typically works indoors in a warehouse setting.

•     The role requires physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
